Globalisation
Globalisation has been a very strong factor in the upcoming of the new world we live in today. Through globalisation people have been given a lot of new resources that have made their lives very easy, through allowing them into accessing the internet, and this gives them access to everything. The pictures demonstrate the futuristic world we have today. The internet has allowed us to shop online, speak online, and even have face to face chats through the internet. The pictures demonstrate the new world that we live in, a world that has made fast food very good looking, and some of them like Macdonalds have grown international over a period of time. They are in Europe, Asia, and the other continents, this is all due to the power of globalisation. Shops that retail clothes are also growing very strongly allowing us to see how vastly we can link things throughout the world. The world is getting more connected through technology and travel. Cuisines are evolving. ”Some people are scared of globalization, but I think people will always take pride in cultural heritage”.(Mackey). This quote by Mackey defines the strength of globalisation in many ways, as it does connect the entire globe through all the resources that it has given us. With globalisation you don’t have to change the way you live, and that your heritage has to be part of your life no matter where you get in life, the people that are against globalisation people also believe that with the process of globalisation they could lose their originality, and their heritage. Nelson Mandella had a very strong point about globalisation as h e said ”Where globalization means, as it so often does, that the rich and powerful now have new means to further enrich and empower themselves at the cost of the poorer and weaker, we have a responsibility to protest in the name of universal freedom.(Mandella). This saying had a very strong impact for some people that viewed this point, since it shows hows globalisation has a very dark side to it as well, it takes away jobs from people in industrial areas, and gives it to people in third world countries where they work for a few dollars a week. This does give power to the rich and it takes from the poor, this system does help the middle class living people and the rich, but it destroys the poor people in our communities. The pictures above demonstrate globalisation from many different aspects since it demonstrates how globalisation has grown into this very big part of the world where it kind of controls everything in it. Food goes from America to India in a second, and the same thing around, the pictures allow us to see the power, it controls our food, clothes, communication, and entertainment, over the years it can be a light that has a shadow not everyone will be able to see in a very easy and upcoming way, this was demonstrated through the control it has over our world today.
